FTP and Daily Email Feed
Our picture editors choose the best breaking news imagery to be distributed through our FTP image feed directly into picture desks of selected publications around the world. Archival and reportage images are highlighted to picture buyers through our daily email feed. Over 300 image buyers from over 200 titles (and growing every day) see the ‘Best of Demotix’ edits in our daily newsletter. To be included, make sure your images are at least 3 Megapixels, and comply with all the advice provided in the upload page on your media summary and tagging (see here).
Widget
Each week the Demotix Team licenses between 10 and 20 images which appear in the Demotix Widget. Each time one of your pictures is used in the Widget, you get paid £12.50. Images on the Widget are displayed for 1-4 days.
Exclusives
Occasionally news and feature stories and individual pictures are unique enough to be chosen as Exclusives by the Sales Team. With your consent, Demotix offers the story to media outlets exclusively in their country or throughout the world. Selling an exclusive story brings recognition of your work as well as a significantly larger fee. It’s important that you keep an accurate record of where you have placed your images as this is essential to the offer of exclusivity. Our last Exclusive was licensed for £4,000 to a magazine.
