Violent incidents took place in Valparaiso after protesters clashed with police during an attempt to reach Chile's Congress. Two motorcycles were set on fire and a number of police officers and at least four soldiers suffered minor injuries.

A building in Mooca, a district of São Paulo city, burned up in flames. Smoke, flames and the smell of burned rubber were the major concern for the São Paulo fire department. 17 people were evicted from their homes following the tragedy.

São Paulo woke up today to a large fire in the Mooca district. A set of stores and a shed burned downed after the fire consumed the building. There are no reports of fatalities.

A set of stores in the east side of São Paulo city in Brazil are in flames. The cause for the fire is yet to be determined. According to the authorities there are no reports of victims, but roads were closed as a precautionary measure.
