23rd October 2010. After meeting at Unity House, Chalton Street, London, protestors marched through central London against the coalition governments cuts announced by Chancellor George Osborne in Wednesdays (20th October) spending review.
The RMT’s London Transport Region organised the march to TUC headquarters, Congress House, Great Russell Street to support the TUC anti-cuts meeting.
The march has been organised in conjunction with the NUT, FBU, NSSN and CWU.
The march was supported by the London regions of the fire brigades union, the civil service union, the teachers' union and several others.
At the end of the march several speakers addressed the crowd including the General secretary of the RMT Bob Crow
