Hello, writer and readers.

Hello, writer and readers. Many thanks for your interest in Earl Street Community Space, and my compliments to the journalist for his dispassionate and objective style. I live at the space in question and would like to clarify a few points. (If the writer of the article would like to get in touch we're very keen to discuss it.) While one or two of us were involved with the Well Furnished space, we are not the same group as them. We are also not a part of the Bank of Ideas, though we have a friendly relationship with them and post some of our events on their website. We are not a protest squat and as a group we are not involved with civil unrest, demonstration, the Occupy movement, or politics at all. We are primarily a space for arts, crafts, healing, and positive social interaction. The only uprising of which we are a part is that of people's happiness and thoughts through clowning, chi gong, laughter yoga and similar activities. If you'd like to find out more or get involved, email earlstreetcommunityspace@gmail.com, check for our events on the BoI website, or come visit us some afternoon at 8 Earl Street EC2A 2AL. We would very much like to hear from you.
