Personal Statement
Pajhwok Afghan News was founded in April 2004, and it is entirely owned and managed by Afghans.
It is licensed as an independent news agency in Afghanistan, and provides extensive daily coverage in English, Dari and Pashto.
Pajhwok has no political or governmental affiliations, and strives to uphold the highest standards of journalism as practiced by professionals worldwide.
Pajhwok’s photo service was inaugurated in January 2007 and video service began in August 2010. We have a team of five photojournalists, five videographers, and dozens of reporters across the country who provide timely coverage of news in Afghanistan, as well as features on social issues.
We have an archive of thousands of photos for sale, including pictures of key news events and photo essays.
